Sew Happy on Vacation

School vacation has almost ended! It has been a relaxing time at home with the kids. Jeffrey, my fourth child and youngest boy has been crocheting up a storm. On February 23, 2007, Jeffrey invited his buddies: Jonathan, Mark, and Kaelin to have pizza and brownies. Mrs. Peickerwas so sweet to deliver the brownies and pizza. Kelli, my youngest daughter, invited her two friends, Katie and Larissa, to come over also. They played on the igloo outside and the pizza and brownies were gone in no time. Mmm! Then, Jeffrey crocheted his famous "crocheted clams for all of his friends. They loved it. Then, he crocheted matching scarves and hats for the kitties and it was so fun to take pictures of Fluffy and Oreo modeling Jeffrey's fashions. He crocheted an American flag, a pair of yellow gloves, a fancy potholder that looks like a doily, and today he made a hat for Kelli right before church. Now, he is working on my hat and can you believe he is only 9 years old! I asked him, Jeffrey, how do you do it?" He replies, "I just do it." Amazing! He doesn't even look at a pattern. He sewed a holder for his recorder and he is working on knitting a baby blanket. Some exciting news for my oldest. One of his drawings that was submitted for a high school exhibition was accepted!!! Yeah!!! His drawing will be displayed at the New Hampshire Institute of Art next Saturday at the High School Exhibition. We're excited to see it. I better get going on the grocery shopping.
